Come to the Darkseid

Darkseid may be the tyrannical ruler of the planet Apokolips, but does he deserve a spot in your collection here on Earth?

Justice League the movie is set to be released in just a few months and I, for one, cannot wait to see the onscreen presence of DC Comics ultimate super-villain. So in the spirit for the upcoming Justice League movie, I have for review the DC Collectables Justice League: Darkseid Deluxe Action Figure.

This titan of villain stands at 13 inches; giving the presence of a menacing villain. Weighing in at 4.5lbs, this figure has a very solid and dense feel. I was able to count 13 points of articulation, helping make this a fairly pose-able figure. I found there was a lot of detail and texture throughout the entire body. The face and arms have a detailed feel of weathered stone. The body armor gives representation of use; “wear and tear.” Where this figure fell short for me was the lack of articulation in the hands and fingers. It also felt like DC Collectables got a bit “lazy” on detail when completing the legs and boots.

I feel the DC Collectables Justice League: Darkseid Deluxe Action Figure would make a great addition to anyone’s collection. The detail and size give the feel of a “Hot Toys Limited” collectable without the Hot Toys Limited price tag. If you search the “Inter-webs” the price tag for this figure hovers around the $120ish price point, but I was able to find some pretty solid auctions on Ebay for less.

I give this collectable a rating of:

-8.3 out of 10

About The Dull Knight

My name is Steve (The Dull Knight). When I am not “adulting” helping raise 2 sassy girls or working my full time job, I am helping produce content that I love on this site and on Instagram. I am a grown man child that still collects toys, comics, and plays my video games; when I can escape the clutches of my girls wanting me to play “tea party”. I am a huge fan of Batman, Funko Pop, and Star Wars (My wallet wishes I wasn’t a fan of these). This project was started for the sheer joy of being able to continue to express my love for all things nerd related and I hope that I (we) can convey that with quality content for all you to enjoy.
